This time our way led us to Costa Rica. I can tell, one of the most amazing countries in the world. The nature is beautiful, the wildlife is amazing, people are so friendly and relaxed. It’s a real joy to spend time in Costa Rica. As they say, pura vida - pure life. We arrived from Prague to San Jose, where we had to stay overnight. Next day we took a flight to Tambor with a very small plane. Unfortunately our luggage did not fit in the plane, so the next day we had to come back to the airport in Tambor to pick up our luggage. It was a bit adventurous as a big part of the roads are not in a very good condition :-D The travel time was supposed to be 1 hour, but as it was a rain season, it took at least 1,5 hour each way. Not a big deal anyways. We went to Costa Rica because of an ITC production, it is always a big pleasure to work for ITC, I really love doing makeup for them. We arrived one week earlier then the ITC production started to be able to focus on producing for MM-Gold. We had a small private villa (it was announced as completely private), but they just finished building an office right next to and above the house, looking straight into the garden, the pool and a part of the living area so not real private anymore :-( The first night we heard a lot of sounds from the kitchen, so I was really scared. I asked David to go check and see what he found, it were Raccoons robbing our fridge :-D For the next nights we had to block it with a big bar chair (which you saw in a set on MM-Gold). We did not expect that the rain season will be that rainy lol. We saw so many reviews on the internet, that people had absolutely lovely weather in October. It would not be us if we would not have a heavy rain nearly every day. Anyway, we did enjoy it a lot with all the rain. Locals told us that these were some of the heaviest rainfalls they experienced while we were there. Waking up with a big window overlooking the jungle and seeing all the monkeys jumping around, hearing the howler monkeys, all the hummingbirds flying around, very colourful butterflies, lizards resting on our deck, …. nothing can come close to the beauty of wildlife.
Really a little adventure. Small planes, animals like in the zoo, ..... Please come back !

So you were in my country? Nice, btw the weather in October is nice only in the Caribbean coast, if you want to visit the pacific coast you should come in December - March.

Hi Kristina great diary up date.I love your description of Costa Rica i will have to put that on our places to visit list.Not surprised about the raccoons,that's why they have masks like bandits.lol Love the video flying into a jungle airstrip on a small plane must have been exciting.Look forward to part 2 of your trip.Your friend Mike.
